Nicola Coe

Nicola Coe is an artist who puts nature at the very core of all her works.

Studying Fine Art at degree level as a young woman, she has used her years of experience both within the natural world and her life as an organic gardener, to influence her working practice today.

Her most recent body of work concentrates on the botany she finds herself living with and alongside each and every day.

These include ‘Seaweed’ drawings using seaweed ink from the Suffolk coast, as well as botanical studies of wild flowers found in her location.

She is passionate about conservation and has found a way to practice her art whilst still holding onto her beliefs.

Originally trained in botany, Steven discovered ceramics after many years as a market gardener, initially as something to do in the quiet winter season. Art foundation and a distinction from the CityLit Ceramics Diploma followed and he set up a studio near
