The relationships between order and chaos, the structured and the random, the studied and the spontaneous, the thoughtfully reflective and the emotively expressive, have recurred time and again throughout Jim’s work. 

In the body of work represented here these process dimensions surface in new ways, counterpointing each other and heading off in fresh directions to explore the ways in which signiturisation can feature within tight structures and the ways in which these structures themselves can break down or break out.
