Ruth’s work reflects her quiet appreciation of the landscape.
Working in oils, watercolour and acrylics, she has exhibited widely in East Anglia, and in London at Mall and Bankside Galleries. Since 2017 her work has been selected for the notable Yorkshire Gallery, Kunsthuis, featuring in their exhibition of watercolourists who push the boundaries of that medium, and in 2018 in their climate change themed show: ‘Our Earth’. Her work is held in private collections internationally.
‘Days by the water’ showcases her work based on time spent walking this coast and river paths, and through the deep gorges and caves of Yorkshire. From calmly contemplative to powerful force, Ruth celebrates the properties of water to enrich our emotional and mental lives.
